Birding Safari
This is a birding Safari going up to the mountains of the Central Andes of Colombia, heading up to La Carbonera, which is the biggest forest with thousands of Wax Palms Trees, that creates the perfect habitat for the Yellow-eared Parrot that are strictly related to the Wax Palms.
Along this route you will be amazed by the incredible landscape and the number of birds as we will be departing from 2.000 to 3.300m.a.s.l.

Begin the birding safari toward La Carbonera, traveling through beautiful Andean landscapes while searching for birds along the route.
10:30 Pic-Nic under the Palm Trees
Enjoy a relaxing picnic beneath the towering wax palms, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery.
11:00 Hike along the palm trees
Take a short hike through the wax palm forest, an ideal place to observe birds and admire Colombia’s national tree in its natural habitat.
12:00 Transfer to the restaurant
Transfer to a local restaurant to enjoy traditional regional cuisine.
1:00 Lunch
Enjoy lunch while taking in the peaceful countryside atmosphere.
14:00 Birding the way back to Salento
Continue birdwatching during the return trip to Salento, stopping at different locations to observe more species.
