Day 1: Arrival to Pitalito and Transfer to El Encanto Nature Reserve
Arrival in Pitalito followed by a scenic transfer to El Encanto Nature Reserve, located in the Andean foothills. Time to settle in and begin exploring the rich birdlife of this transition zone between the Andes and the Amazon.
Day 2: Birding La Drymophylla Nature Reserve
Full day birding at La Drymophila Nature Reserve, searching for a variety of Andean species in well-preserved cloud forests known for their remarkable biodiversity.
Day 3: Birding El Encanto Nature Reserve + Transfer to Mocoa
Morning birding around El Encanto before traveling toward Mocoa, descending through diverse habitats with opportunities to observe new bird species along the way.
Day 4: Birding Trampolín de las Aves
Birdwatching along the famous Trampolín de las Aves route, a spectacular road through lush forests where Andean and Amazonian species overlap.
Day 5: Birding the Lowlands
Exploration of the Amazonian foothill lowlands, where tropical forests host a wide diversity of colorful and unique bird species.
Day 6: Birding in Puerto Asis
Birding around Puerto Asís, searching for Amazonian specialties in riverside forests and tropical habitats.
Day 7: Birding in Playa Rica
Visit to Playa Rica for birdwatching in pristine rainforest areas known for their excellent bird diversity and scenic surroundings.
Day 8: Birding inr Puerto Asis + Departure
Final morning of birding around Puerto Asís before concluding the tour and preparing for departure.

Bookings, payments and cancellations policies
For questions and bookings please contact our team via email or WhatsApp (+57 3160834407). A $200 USD deposit per person is required to confirm your booking. This deposit will be deducted from the total tour cost once the minimum group size of two people is reached. If the minimum group size is not met, your deposit will be refunded, minus a small fee to cover bank charges.
Note: We recommend waiting to book your flights until you receive official confirmation from Pajareros Birding Tours that the minimum group size has been met and your tour is confirmed.
Following confirmation of your booking by Pajareros Birding Tours, the full payment for the tour must be made before 60 days of the tour’s start date. Payment can be made via bank transfer or through a provided payment link.
If you need to cancel your tour, please notify us as soon as possible. For cancellations made more than 60 days before departure, a full refund, minus a small processing fee, will be issued. Cancellations made between 59 and 30 days prior to departure will incur a 30% fee. For cancellations within 30 days of departure, a 40% fee, plus any applicable bank fees, will be charged. For Cancellations within 15 days of departure, a 70% fee, plus any aplicable bank fees, will be charged.
Note: It is possible that due to unforeseen circumstances or weather conditions, we may need to make adjustments to the itinerary or guide. We will always strive to maintain the original itinerary as closely as possible, but flexibility is key to a successful birding tour.
