Sta. Rita: Home of endemics birds
This nature reserve is located close to Salento and it is the house of endemic birds like the Crested Ant-tanager, Multicolor Tanager and Grayish Piculet. This farm used to be a traditional cattle farming ranch and it is now in the transition to become a big nature reserve. Santa Rita has become an aquatic nature reserve due to the multiple rivers and waterfalls we can find along the trails. Going along of the shores of Quindío River, we probably could spot the Torrent Duck, the White-Capped and other aquatic birds like the Cormorant.

Bird-hiking: a new way to discover Cocora
Cocora Valley is the house of the national tree, the Wax Palm, however it is also full of birdlife. That is why we created this experience that combines the hiking and the birding. We go hiking 6km and 7km watching birds along the cloud forest and visit the palm trees at the end.
Here we will be looking for the Black-billed Mountain Toucan, Andean Condor, Mountain Tanagers and Parrots.

Species of interest: Andean Condor, Sword-billed Hummingbird, Masked Trogon, Golden-plumed Parakeet, Buff-tailed Coronet and Buff-winged Starfrontlet.

La Carbonera: Birding & Landscape
This is a birding Safari going up to the mountains of the Central Andes of Colombia, heading up to La Carbonera, which is the biggest forest with thousands of Wax Palms Trees, that creates the perfect habitat for the Yellow-eared Parrot that are strictly related to the Wax Palms.
Along this route you will be amazed by the incredible landscape and the number of birds as we will be departing from 2.000 to 3.300m.a.s.l.
